ITC Review : Goholor – In Saeculis Obscuris

Goholor - logo

Formed in 2010 in Slovakia, they remains silent until the end of January.

Anton (vocals), Demo (guitar, vocals) and Pio (drums) are known under the name of the Black/Death Metal band Goholor (Pio and Demo are also in the Black Metal band Dimonsium Chaos and were together in the Death Metal band Brute). They took the time to make their own sound, and release their first EP, In Saeculis Obscuris, on January 31st, 2016. Only four tracks, but written by Hell’s messengers themselves.

Goholor - In Saeculis Obscuris

Art of Infernal Power is the opening track. A solid mix between Black Metal oriented riffs and the sick blend between Anton and Demo‘s voice. No one can say that it’s the first ever release track from this band. Naberius Daemon quickly chains with a Black Metal lead guitar that reminds us Norway’s firsts bands, with the two voices on blast beats. Perfect break on the middle of the song, it’s one of the most powerful Black Metal song I’ve heard since a while. Obscurus Sacramentum focuses on screams on the very beginning, and goes through with solid demonic riffs. Demo‘s voice perfectly fits to create the ambiant the band impose with their music. Symbols of Blasphemy will have the daunting task to close this masterpiece. Another sink into the dephts of Hell before a perfect blasting final.

Fans of Belphegor, Morbid Angel, Hate, Arkhon Infaustus, Marduk, Akercocke, why are you still reading me ? Rush on Goholor‘s EP guys.
