Abominable Putridity is a duo again.
Created in 2003 by Alexander Kubiashvili (all instruments, previously drums, Deracinated), the band regularly changes musicians. In 2020 after two albums and two demos, Alexander Kuviashvili takes over all composition and recruits Ángel Ochoa (Cephalotripsy, Disgorge, ex-Condemned) for the release of Parasitic Metamorphosis Manifestation, the band’s third album.
In my opinion, there are two possibilities when you first listen to this album. Whether you already know Abominable Putridity and you will be impressed by the regularity the band develops, even with this new line-up. Whether you don’t know Abominable Putridity’s strength, and you will be blown away by the band’s ability to melt moshparts, breaks, growls and Slam rhythmic. In any case, you will love this new album.
Nine songs will play for less than half an hour, with for common point the most greasy violence possible. We feel in opposition to the band’s previous productions that the mix/mastering is cleaner, but it also allows to highlight explosive drums, just like this furious blast on Parasitic Metamorphosis Manifestation, the eponymous track, but also the intense moshparts inside of all compositions. I personally notice the extreme compatibility between howlings and rhythmic on Supreme Void, one of the heaviest tracks, but also technical influences on Obscure Entity of Darkness or Old School accents from Non Infinite Sequence. The band reaches peaks of violence with the greasy and moving Paroxysm and the groovy Inorganic Infusion Protocol, but it is with Macrocosmic Cessation that the album ends, while using a bit of dissonance inside of those violent riffs.
Abominable Putridity is in an olympic shape. Parasitic Metamorphosis Manifestation makes us go through every characteristic of Slam Death with a melting between Old School and modern mix. Be ready to mosh.
