Demonstealer continues on his path with a new EP.

After three albums between 2008 and 2018, followed by an EP in 2020, Sahil “The Demonstealer” Makhija (instruments/vocals, Demonic Resurrection, Solus ex Inferis, Targe, ex-Reptilian Death, ex-Workshop) unveils The Holocene Termination, as well as its guestlist.

To refine his EP, the indian musician just called Eugene Ryabchenko (Fleshgod Apocalypse), Krzysztof Klingbein (Deadspawn), Simon Schilling (Marduk) and Robin Stone (The Amenta, Norse) on drums, Jeff Hughell (Six Feet Under) and Anton Zhikharev (Gorgasm) on bass, as well as Nick Padovani (Equipoise) and Fabio Bartoletti (Fleshgod Apocalypse) on guitar and Veronica Bordacchini (Fleshgod Apocalypse) on vocals.

The Holocene Termination, the eponymous track, is in charge to begin the battle with dissonant melodies and a solid rhythmic. Raw howlings make the tempo hasten, welcoming a really soaring solo. The thick sound continue to crush us, then backing vocals add a ritualistic touch before An Epoch Of Degradation, the second track. The sound is more aggressive, darker, and the mad leads unveil sharp tones, while the rhythmic section overtly strikes before offering a hooking groove. Wild howlings drive us straight to From Extinction Begins Evolution, an oppressive and heavy song which counts on some more technical parts. We also discover Old School roots in this display of greasy aggressiveness, then worrying clean vocals join screams, while What She Creates, She Will Destroy unveils us a wild and vivid blackness before welcoming soft female vocals. The duo answers back to each other before a particularly impressive part on which Veronica drives the dance, while musicians offer her an extremely heavy basis before the track ends.

Demonstealer is amongst the pioneers of extreme Metal in India, and his creativity never fades. With The Holocene Termination, the musician proves us once again that strength, melodies and blackness perfectly combine in the name of rage.
