Review 2345 : Traumatomy – Triumph Of Enslavement – English

New EP for Traumatomy.

Entitled Triumph of Enslavement, it is released by Gore House Productions three years after the last album, and was recorded by Constantine (guitar, Disfigurement of Flesh, Morphogenetic Malformation, Nauseating), Ivan (drums), Bogdan (bass, Insect Inside), Haruka (vocals, Medic Vomiting Pus, Second Resurrection, ex-Gorevent) and Kirill (vocals, Incestuous Deformity, ex-Depths of Black).

We kick off with Ingress To Horridness, a heavy, groovy introduction that warms us up while the double pedal and cavernous vocal parts follow, then it’s with Triumph Of Enslavement that the blast returns to molest us. The rhythm accelerates while maintaining a relatively Old School and thick approach, before becoming much more crushing on the fat Slam-like final, before Consumed into Nothing takes its place with a more virulent bass. Unsurprisingly, a few more polished touches are added to the waves of violence, whether slow or more sustained, before Womb of the Desecrated once again begins its own massacre in an oppressive, abrasive slowness. Rhythmic variations are also part of the program, but the track mainly focuses on mammoth moshparts before offering us an escalation of rage, shortly before giving way to Acknowledge The Inevitable End where the breaks resume immediately while the vocalists unleash themselves once more, but the conflagration arrives earlier and only ends with the fade out.

There’s no change in sight for Traumatomy, who deliver a quarter-hour of thick, intense Slamming Brutal Death. Triumph Of Enslavement won’t revolutionize the genre, but it will make you want to mosher every time you listen to it!
