I didn’t know about Nedogled.
A solo project created by Aleks which mixes Doom and Synthwave. But, I decided to check out Eye of the Wild, his second EP, which is out of my usual tastes and that its creator calls Doomwave.
We start with Woodworm Guru and its heady modern keys which float in our mind on a catchy rhythmic. We clearly feel the instruments have this industrial touch strengthened by various effects, but the track remains coherent and dynamic, just like Swamp Sentience which wants to be more disturbing while keeping soaring elements in addition to this raw bass and hypnotic samples which perfectly know how to be combined with more lively elements. The Underflow, the longest track, follows with progressive tones which borrow as much from the Electro world as from Gothic Industrial until this climax which links all elements to develop a more energetic and catchy sound, before slowly calming down to lead us to the mysterious Foreverdream which will close the EP in softer sounds with some saturation touches.
If you like modern and Synthwave-oriented sounds, you will be captivated by Nedogled. Eye of the Wild mixes catchy touches with heavier Industrial elements to create an accessible universe.
