Tyrmfar signs to Wormholedeath for a new EP.
After three albums, the band featuring Kévin Sanchez (guitar, Wizards of Wiznan), Quentin Brunner (drums/vocals, Dawnless), Robin Délèze (vocals, Rafales, Wizards of Wiznan), Yannick Dulon (bass) and Florian Métrailler (guitar) unveils Symbiosis, in March 2025.
Pilgrimage of Oneness kicks off at full speed, immediately recreating the epic atmosphere with majestic keyboards and cutting melodies, complemented by furious howls. The only moments when the band slows down are dedicated to heaviness, and to Black/Death influences, also found on Symphony of Pain, the following track, which also develops a very melancholic touch in its heady harmonics. Some passages adopt a jerky, almost martial atmosphere, reinforcing the impact of the – very diverse – screams, before Haunted by the Truth and its heavy atmosphere flood us with its heady melodies. Here, the band offers us the perfect contrast between raw power and airy elements, sometimes blending the two to create a striking sound before returning to pure aggression on Part I: The Hubris of Humanity, where the vocalist literally unleashes himself over a hectic rhythmic pattern. The atmosphere becomes more impressive when the keyboards come into play, and barely calms down before moving on to Part II: The Reckoning, which takes up the torch and proves to be very raw and jerky, culminating in the break before the final charge.
Tyrmfar are back with a vengeance with this new EP, which allows them to start 2025 under the best possible auspices. The band’s discography was already aggressive, but Symbiosis is undoubtedly one of their best assets!
