NecroticGoreBeast has just announced Brute.
This EP, featuring John Mayer (vocals, The Outborn), Alexandre Brochu (bass, The Outborn), JP Bouchard (drums, Killitorous, Morningless, ex-Bookakee, ex-Necronomicon), and Michael Chamberland (guitar, Soiled by Blood), is being released via Comatose Music.

It starts off far too calmly with the eponymous introductory sample, Brute, reminiscent of Z movies, then Assault of Severed Genitalia hits us with groovy riffs topped off with John‘s screams. The steady rhythm is perfect for their Brutal/Slam influences, as are the sub-bass lines, but the band also treats us to a few accelerations before a crushing finale, then Sensual Regurgitation takes over with a fairly similar approach. Explosions of violence punctuate the track with thick mosh parts and a few more striking harmonics, then after one last eruption, the track leaves us with Maggot Filled Colonoscopy, which in turn assaults us. The track is perfectly balanced between devastating impulses and heavier parts, ensuring that we have a great time on the album but also live, just like on Knuckle Deep Convulsions, which doesn’t shy away from extremely effective patterns at various speeds to close the EP in the best possible way, with a series of breaks.
NecroticGoreBeast is as effective as it is consistent, offering new devastating tracks every two years, and this year it’s to the sound of Brute that we’re going to break our necks! Nothing very new, but damn, it’s heavy!
