Review 415 : War Agenda – Propaganda – English

Be ready for War Agenda’s assault.

Created in 2012 in Germany, the band is composed of Inges Khan (guitar, ex-Pulse of Decay, ex-Demonslut), Hamdi (drums, Hatevomit, WeedWizard, Baleful Abyss, ex-Demonslut, ex-Pulse of Decay, ex-Zombieslut), Marcel Hauptmann (bass, Ahl Sina), Moustafa Troll (vocals, Ahl Sina) and Raafat Al Atasi (guitar) for the release of Propaganda, their second full-length.

As its name implies, War Agenda offers a warlike sound through ten tracks of pure vindictive German Thrash Metal, preceded by a soft introduction. But once this first contact passed, be ready for aggression with Propaganda, the first song. The band unsurprisingly draws inspiration from the pioneers and masters of the style, whether they are german or american, and we feel into their screaming rage that they know what they are talking about! Between those shrill vocals and those riffs full of energy, we can only be caught. Rhythmics are effective, but sometimes wear more airy parts, like the worrying introduction on Human Race or Silence of Justice, two songs that will become way more stronger then. The genre’s clichés are very well used, and piercing Old School influences meet a very groovy bass as well as catchy drums. Leads also play a role in this unfurling wave of energy, like harmonics on War of Nations or Killer Disease, two tracks that will allow the audience to move. After a heavy and uninterrupted assault that lasts three quarters of an hour, the band give up their weapons. Until next time.

Even if is quite young, War Agenda has nothing to envy to Thrash Metal masters! Without reinventing an Old School style, Propaganda has everything they need to be on the top of 2020’s releases of this genre, while making the promise to shake worldwide crowds!
