Review 599 : Dead World Reclamation – Aura of Inquity – English

Do you know Dead World Reclamation?

Me neither, so let’s discover them together! The band was formed in 2017 in the USA and releases a first album the same year, but Mark Gray (drums), Andre Lothian (guitar) and Dakota James (guitar) face some line-up, changes and recruit Conner Posz (vocals) and Alexander Beltz (bass) for Aura of Inquity, their second album.

With an artwork signed by Mark Erskine (Temple of Demigod, Ildaruni, Ghoulchapel…), the band decides to mark a step with this new album, that still oscillates between Deathcore and Technical Death Metal. We begin into violence and virtuosity with Ripped From The Grave, a song that highlights raging harmonics the band can spread, alternating heavy parts and piercing harmonics, then the bloody Embrace the Hive comes next. Deathcore influences come over with those catchy patterns and those sharp leads, while the heavy The Everlasting Hunt let musicians expose their capacities into very technical and majestic riffs. The band lets its rage explode with Pantheon of Shadows, a very groovy with vicious sonorities, that places moshparts between soaring breaks and technical demonstrations. The song will please to a wide audience.
We go back to pure violence with Herlads of the Formless One, a very worrying and dark song, that places sharp influences at every moment, then Arachnocratic Assemblage, a more accessible and groovy part, begins. The introduction captivates the crowd, then the rhythmic slaughters every form of resistance, supported by howlings that alternates demonic screams and massive growls. Whispers of the Evergloom is next with dark and mysterious tones, but also very violent and heavy. The Void Bargain reconnects with sharp and airy melodies, but also with a soft hypnotic dissonance the band transforms into a heavy oppression, while Those Born of Suffering makes us sink into a contrast between orchestrations and Brutal Death. The rhythmic is crushing, but also filled with majestic parts that offer an impressive vocal diversity before the oppressive Plaguemaster’s Legacy. This last song gathers melancholy, strength and intensity the band develops on every track at the same time, to offer a seizing violence to close the album.

Dead World Reclamation picks its influences into Death Metal and Deathcore to offer a seizing and heavy style. Aura of Inquity counts as much on rhythmic, howlings and leads to seduce, and promises amazing live shows!
