Review 626 : Feed Them Death – Negative – English

The one-man band Feed Them Death is back with a third album.

Entitled Negative, the album ensures the continuity of the unhealthy and brutal art of Void (vocals/all instruments, Bune, Rising Bear Flottilla, ex-Antropofagus).

Melting Death Metal, Grindcore and more experimental parts, the project is anchored in violence. Signed at Brucia Records, the band offers eight songs made of rage, aggression and oppression, beginning with Superficialibi, a track that very regularly explodes, offering howlings, a good fix of energy and vindictive riffs. Minima Moralia shows us interesting blackness and dissonance, that the band connects again to its disturbing and catchy universe, then the groovy Displeasure in Pleasure comes. Some dissonant leads come, adding rage and energy to this unhealthy rhythmic before the explosive Eulogic (Negative Dialektik). The song picks into its extreme roots and hectic patterns to offer a disturbing composition before Our Cruelty to Reality (Evokism IV), a long noisy and strange interlude. Once the storm is gone, the band reconnects with pure violence on An Objective Tragedy, a very hectic song that still knows to place dissonant parts before The Underworld Unveiled, a both quiet and aggressive song. Heaviness is placed on dark parts, and different kind of howlings appear before The Idiotic Yearning for More (Barbarism of Perfection), a song that draws into Sludge and heaviness to increase its brutality and mysticism before definitely cease.

Negative is not only violence. Feed Them Death obviously knows to spread raw parts, but also dissonant riffs coupled to this intestine rage that lives into its creator.
