If we should include just few bands into Death Metal Legend, Bolt Thrower is obviously one of them. Created in United Kingdom in 1986, the band suffered of some line-up troubles, but they settled down in 2004 with Karl Willetts on vocals, Gavin Ward and Barry Thompson on guitars, Jo Bench on bass (she is considered as the first woman to be in an Extreme Metal band) and Martin Kearns on drums. The band gave us eight pure Death Metal records before their disband in 2015 with Martin Kearns’ death in 2015.

Si quelques groupes doivent rester dans la légende du Death Metal, Bolt Thrower en fait partie à coup sûr. Formé en Angleterre en 1986, le line-up du groupe a connu pas mal de changements avant de se stabiliser pour de bon en 2004 avec Karl Willetts au chant, Gavin Ward et Barry Thompson aux guitares, Jo Bench à la basse (considérée à juste titre comme la première femme dans un groupe de Metal Extrême) et Martin Kearns à la batterie. Le groupe nous livrera huits albums de pur Death Metal avant de s’éteindre avec le décès de Martin Kearns en 2015.

Created in 1987 by Glenn Benton (bass and voice), Steve Asheim (drums) and brothers Eric and Brian Hoffman (guitars), they released two demo under the name of Amon, switching name in 1989 for Deicide and tell religious horrors and blasphemy.
