Melodic Death Metal isn’t a newborn style, and legendary bands of this kind of music are many. But there’s also very younger and less known bands, but that clearly deserve to be like Wolfheart.

Sometimes, musicians we meet after a show have a great sense of humour, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be serious on stage ! Cadaver Disposal, founded in Germany in 2010, is no exception to the rule. The funny guys are the founders Torturer on drums (Bethlehem, Goat Torment, IT, Mor Dagor and ex-Belphegor), Dennis Baron on guitar (Deus Inversus and Final Depravity), Stefan the vocalist and Alex Voß, newcomer since 2016 on bass (who also plays with Majesty). They gather with pints and started to compose Transformatio Mundi, the band’s second record, after Alex’s coming, leaving out jokes to play a violent and merciless Death Metal. Warning to old school and modern mix fans !

Parfois, les musiciens que l’on rencontre après un concert sont pleins d’humour, mais ça ne les empêche pas d’être sérieux sur scène ! Cadaver Disposal, créé en Allemagne en 2010, n’échappe pas à la règle. La bande de joyeux larrons se compose des fondateurs Torturer à la batterie (officiant aussi dans Bethlehem, Goat Torment, IT, Mor Dagor et ex-Belphegor), Dennis Baron à la guitare (Deus Inversus et Final Depravity), Stefan au chant ainsi que d’Alex Voß qui les a rejoints à la basse en 2016 (également en poste chez Majesty). C’est autour d’une bonne pinte de bière qu’ils se mettent à composer Transformatio Mundi, leur deuxième album, après l’arrivée d’Alex, laissant de côté les blagues pour jouer un Death Metal violent et sans concession. Avis aux amateurs du mélange des sonorités Old School et modernes !

If Scandinavia is a land where Metal bands are not rare, it’s also possible to find some excellent ones. This is the case for Kalmah. Founded in 1991 under the name of Ancestor, the band plays Melodic Thrash/Death. Driven by guitar brothers Antti and Pekka Kokko, they switched name for Kalmah in 1998. Pekka sings and plays guitar, while Antti plays lead guitar. In 2001, after a first record, the line-up won’t be long to change, welcoming Timo Lehtinen (ex-Mythos, ex-Catamenia) on bass and Janne Kusmin on drums (who is also Wrathage’s drummer), but it’s only in 2012 that their current keyboardist, Veli-Matti Kananen (also in Vintergata) will replace Marco Sneck’s vacant post (Afterworld, Nothnegal, Stargazery, The Man-Eating Tree, Poisonblack).

Si la Scandinavie est une région où les groupes de Metal sont loin d’être rares, ils est également possible d’en trouver certains qui sont vraiment excellent. C’est le cas pour les finlandais de Kalmah. Fondé en 1991 sous le nom d’Ancestor, le groupe joue un Thrash/Death Mélodique. Sous l’impulsion des frères guitaristes Antti et Pekka Kokko, le groupe prend le nom de Kalmah en 1998. Pekka chante en jouant de la guitare alors qu’Antti prend la guitare lead. En 2001, peu après le premier album, le line-up ne tardera pas à changer pour accueillir Timo Lehtinen (ex-Mythos, ex-Catamenia) à la basse et Janne Kusmin à la batterie (jouant aussi avec Wrathage), alors que c’est en 2012 que leur claviériste actuel, Veli-Matti Kananen (aussi dans Vintergata) prendra la place occupée par Marco Sneck (Afterworld, Nothnegal, Stargazery, The Man-Eating Tree, Poisonblack).
