Review 056 : Dark Tranquillity – Fiction

Dark Tranquility - Logo

Review 054 : Cattle Decapitation – A Monolith Of Inhumanity – English

When you talk about violence, it’s impossible nowadays to avoid Cattle Decapitation. Formed in 1996 in San Diego, California, the band is now composed of Travis Ryan on vocals (he also sings for Anal Trump and Murder Construct), Josh Elmore on guitars, David McGraw behind the drumkit and Derek Engemann on bass. During shows, Belisario Dimuzio is the second guitar player.

Review 053 – Battlecross – Push Pull Destroy – English

Battlecross - Logo

I hold sharp goblin voices against Thrash Metal, but it’s only for a majority of bands. Blending Death Metal and Thrash Metal, it’s rightly abusing of the powerful Death Metal voice. Battlecross is one of those bands who does it right since 2003. Created in the United States by guitar players Hiran Deraniyagala and Tony Asta, the line up suffered of many changes until 2008 when they finally settle down with Don Slatter (bass), Mike Kreger (drums) and Marshall Wood (voice), and record their first album, Push Pull Destroy in 2010 just before Kyle “Gumby” Gunther substitutes himself to Marshall Wood.

Review 053 – Battlecross – Push Pull Destroy

Battlecross - Logo

Review 051 : Serpentine Domionion – English

Serpentine Dominion - Logo

Who said Death Metal is dead, and replaced with Deathcore ? Let’s hang this idiot high with some Serpentine Dominion ! Supergroup created in 2009 at Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival’s backstage, they really exist as a band since 2011, thanks to Adam Dutkiewicz (guitar, bass and backing vocals) from Killswitch Engage, Georges “Corpsegrinder” Fischer (vocals) from Cannibal Corpse/Paths of Possession and Shannon Lucas (drums), ex-The Black Dahlia Murder’s drummer.

Review 051 : Gaara – Kohaku Shoku No Sinjitsu – English

Gaara - Band

Barely known in France, it is again Japan who gave birth to this little band that was disbanded after only five years of existence in 2011. Gaara has a near from secret story. The line-up suffered of many changes, and very few titles are out. It’s with a random luck that I listened to Kohaku Shoku No Shinjitsu, their first mini-album.
